They Said It Was An Accident...
Sawyer Dodd is a star athlete, a straight-A student, and the envy of every other girl who wants to date Kevin Anderson. When Kevin dies in a tragic car crash, Sawyer is stunned. Then she opens her locker to find a note:
Someone saw what he did to her. Someone knows that Sawyer and Kevin weren't the perfect couple they seemed to be. And that someone—a killer—is now shadowing Sawyer's every move...
I was drown to this book, how else can it with such a summary! It's save to say the "You're welcome" decided that I was going to read this book.
It was a different way of reading then I'm used too. Well probably not all that different but lately I prefer reading adult fantasies and that's quiet different writing. I expected that you would first get to meet Kevin and Sawyer better but this wasn't the case. You were thrown immediately into the action and later on we kept skipping to parts with action. That way you don't have a real specific timeline pattern. In my opinion that is way this book read really slow.
I was kind of afraid that the book ended up in big cliche. It started out that way. You have to stereotype not all that special girl who is dating the most popular guy at school (Sawyer and Kevin). You have the mean girl (Maggie) and the crazy best friend (Chloe).
I don't want to spoil anything so I'm not going to say anything more but I'm going to say I was surprised at the end - I never saw that one coming! :)
This is book is perfect for all Pretty Little Liars (Sara Shepard) fans and Privilege (Kate Brian) fans.
Obviously I cheered way to soon about posting everyday. I'm so sorry about that I hate making empty promises. I actually don't have an excuse ready for you... I just feel like I outgrow the internet some how? Idk. I still love going to Paper Lungs and to all the graphic forums out there but I just don't feel any real connection anymore... I'm trying to turn Paper Lungs around but I think I'm to far gone for forums ^-^. I propably create the resource page some day this week !
You actually didn't miss much while I was gone. I still haven't finished my 2nd book of my libririan adventure I'm pretty sure I never will but I also don't feel like starting another one because I really want to know the ending. Also school started again but that really isn't the reason why I'm not online because I've more time since school started then I did in my summer vacation ^-^. I also am 20 since last week. I'm officially no longer a teenager! I don't really feel any immediate difference but these might still come x3.
I also bought NetFlix last week which is actually not for my birthday and I am an addict already! I can already add one extra serie to my fandom list since watching NetFlix, Orphan Black. Why didn't I know these series before?! It is so AMAZING. Everyone that hasn't watched it yet, you totally should! This is the summary I can find on the web, if might be interested:
Orphan Black follows outsider, orphan and street-wise chameleon Sarah. After witnessing a woman's suicide, Sarah assumes the strangers identity - who happens to look just like her. Expecting to solve all her problems by cleaning out the dead woman's savings, Sarah is instead thrust headlong into a kaleidoscopic mystery as she realizes the dizzying truth - she and the dead woman are clones. As Sarah searches for answers, she discovers the chilling fact that there are more people like her out there - genetically identical individuals who were planted in unsuspecting birth parents and nurtured in completely different circumstances. With no idea who created the clones, she'll need to discover the reason in a hurry as an assassin is killing them one by one.
I can not really decide who is my favorite clone but I do really love Felix <3. I'm also combining this with my Legend of Aang marathon that is currently on a tiny hold, Suits (I just started watching today ^-^) and the Knights of Sidonia.
Yeah I know I sound as a loner and a loser... but I don't care! ;3 I hope to see you next time. Oh, almost forgot you can now also contact me by cbox that you can find to click in the sidebar on CBox (pretty straightforward). I still accept affiliates, you can request this by email or in the cbox.
Look at me posting everyday *PROUD*. Ha, I'm wondering how long I'm going to keep this up ^-^. I think it was a good first day for my extra week of vacation. I finally visited the library again. It has been over a year, actually that's not true. I visited the library a few months ago to search a book about Suzhou before I visited China with school. But it has been over a year since I really lend a fictional book there. For me this is a real miracle because I still have like 20 books lying in my closet that I still need to read and I just keep buying books for my kindle.
I hope I'll finally get to the point I will post some new reviews on to my website. I've been postphoning this until I started a series on book one, which hasn't been the case. But now I need to start new series because I need to return them in a month! I've lend following books:
Hopefully you will see these pass by, included with 2 new reviews!
OMG I'm such a nerd! I'm at the moment so addicted to Pacific Rim, Tron: Legacy, Star Trek - actually anything futurish. I've just re-watched all the movies but I'm craving to do it again <333. I didn't really pop-in just to spread all my fandom love with you but I've a major site update! My graphics section is finished as well. This is kind of a surprise because I wasn't planning on adding one but I did it anyway! I might change the looks of the images a bit later on but it's finished ^-^.
Sooo going back to futurish-fandom-thingy. I just finished the 7th book of House of the Night (and I was surprised how good this book was! I was getting so tired of all the boyfriend drama and stuff but now you got more Stevie Rae + Rephaim <3 I was planning on stop reading the series after this one, but now that's definitely out of the question ^-^) If you would have a futurish book for me that I totally should read then let me know, I'm all ears!
» Now off to keep an Legend of Aang marathon ^-^
Hi there curious visitors! I'm so happy you landed on my personal/resources/review website - I think I better just refer to it as Paper Lungs... I'm even happier to inform you I finally have an update worthy of mentioning! I think my reading section - that used to be reviews section - is pretty much finished. Now I only need to read a few 100 books and review them. You can also see the book I'm currently-reading and my favorites, these are link from my goodreads (miss-s).
I'm now working on the site aspect but I think that will be finished pretty soon as well and then comes resources and graphics. I always keep about for the last because I never know what to mention there. If you want to know something specific about me you are always free to ask me, then I'll add it there!
Now because of a current change of circumstances I really think I can finish Paper Lungs before my birthday! I normally had to work an extra week but because they had less work then expected I have an extra week vacation. You would think I'm supper excited because in my 2.5 months of vacation this is the real first week of vacation in which I don't need to study or work but in fact I'm totally bored and I can't wait for school to begin. Ugh, I always want what I can't have. I want to wear boots in the summer and pretty sandals in the winter. I want to drink hot coco in the summer and eat icecream in the winter but that is probably just part of who I am.
In the meanwhile I'm still struggling to get shaking (cocktails) under my knee. It is not that easy as it looks. If you have any tips how it makes making cocktails easy - easier then please let me know, It's getting a bit stressy out here...
I hope you are enjoying your vacation, if you still have some or if you have a great weekend if you need to work/school.
